A Little Something New

Some of you might have noticed a little something new on the side of my blog. It's a link to my new Etsy store. I do not jump into things quickly. I've been thinking about doing this for about 8 months! And I am not totally sure it is for me! I don't want to get in over my head and I am just not that good at computer stuff (I am easily frustrated with technology)!!! So that is where I am...testing the water. I love paper mache...but do I want to make it a job rather than a hobby????

On another note I have skipped over St. Patrick's Day and gone on to Easter decorations! This is a bannner Mom sent me last week! Cute thing!

PS- Any guesses who are the people in the black and white photos in the top picture???

A New Blogger and The Gift Reveal

I would like to welcome one of my real-life friends to the world of blogging! She is the estate sale, sewing, crafting, home schooling mom of three that you can see here. Please go by and say hello! She has been a lurker for a while and has visited many of your blogs. Sadly she does not have a pug or a cat! I have not won her over to that side of the fence. She does have a shitzu! If you go by here, you can see her trip to the beach and a little craft we did last week that really turned out cute!

I finally sent off the Mystery Gift and I know that she got it and loved it....so here it is!

I did some research on "Boutique Overalls" and learned that they are made from a pair of recycled overalls (these are Osh Kosh) - cut off the legs and add the ruffle and ribbon- make a slipcover to cover the bib and add the ribbon to tie at the side! I put an applique of the pug head on the back to cover the brand name! Some of them also replace the back pockets or embellish them. I decided that was too much on the small overalls! They were so much fun to make! It turns out that only 2 days of referrals were sent out this month...so surely next month will be her time! If they do 2 days next month she will be in! Surely!!!

And the Winner is......

Due to a schedule conflict Eli sent a substitute to draw the name out of the hat! And Lulu was only too happy to take over!
The names were put into my favorite Disney World Hat!

I shook them up...
Lulu pounced....

And she grabbed a name...

I retrieved the name (from her mouth-slightly wet of cat spit!) And the winner is.....

Pam of Thirty Something! Pam, I have your address so look for a box from the Swamp soon!

Pugs in the Snow

This is the most snow the pugs have ever seen! Bitsey is not a fan, she shakes her princess feet after each step. Eli ran around and was hard to get a picture of! The snow is now melting and we didn't even get a snow day off of school!

Taking care of business on that little bit of grass!

They have winter jackets, but since they were not going to stay out long we didn't bother with them!

Last chance to enter my Blogiversary Giveaway! Eli will pick the winner tomorrow!

Dullsville

There is not much going on right now at the Swamp. I am so ready for Spring! My wonderful husband has been working away on the sheet rock- he has almost completed the mud. Next comes the sanding and much dust-not really looking forward to that!

I had a week of alterations...nothing creative....until a friend of mine went with me to Angel's, our favorite antique mall, for the afternoon. We always find inspiration there! We discovered some tiny garden stuff for Fairy Gardens. I have a old tiny greenhouse so I dug that out and cleaned it up. OK - I know I'm a little old to play with dolls......But the greenhouse at Angel's had a chandelier so I decided my fairy had to have one....and I had to make said fairy....

So now I will be able to watch my fairy (I haven't named her yet!) play in her little garden while I sew! Coming soon: a little giveaway to celebrate my one year Blogiversary !
