A Thrifty Burlap Tablescape

The universe aligned today for me to be able to combine 3 of my loves into one post that fits into 3 parties! First is Crazy for Burlap hosted by Rhoda at Southern Hospitality!Next we have Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch!
And last but not least is Thrifty Thursday hosted by Leigh of Bloggeritaville!

Go by these fabulous blogs today for more great inspiration!!

Crazy for Burlap came along just as I had finished some projects for the porch. I love the texture of burlap and the price! I've lusted after table runners with a monogram so with a yard of burlap ($3.99) and a denim remnant I made all of these projects today. The table runner came first...

Followed by the pillow....

I can flip the runner over to get a different look!
And I made 6 napkin rings and 2 place mats before I ran out of fabric!
So on to the tablescape, which is all done with thrifty finds! The most expensive things on the table are the Target birds!
Dinner on the porch for Hubby and me!

Thriftiness:
Tablecloth- thrift store $2
Burlap place mats and napkin rings- @$1
Green Fiesta Plates -Old Time Pottery -$2.99 each
Daisy plates -Salvation Army -$1.50 for 5
Coke glasses -Dollar Tree
Michelangelo by Oneida flatware - thrift shop -$.25 each!! And my heart
was pounding like crazy because that is my pattern!!
Soup tureen -Salvation Army- $2.00
Jadeite bowl- Goodwill- $1.50 (another heart pounder)
Cracker loaf dish(behind bowl) -Walgreens Dollar aisle

And if that isn't enough fun...since it has rained for a week...no yard sales on Saturday for us....so we went to Mike's Merchandise and I found these for $.99 each!!!!
Huge burlap coffee bean bags! Some still had beans in them!

They had tons of them! I just pulled four different ones off the top....may go back when the pile is smaller to see what different patterns are further down! So I need some more creative ideas for burlap!!! Thanks for stopping by the Swamp today, come back in a couple of days to see the "How-to" directions for the napkin rings!

Swampgirl, your projects are amazing! Your mind is working all the time to come up with such nice ideas. Love the burlap pillow, table runner and napkin rings. Your tablescape is so inviting. The plant stand sure did come in handy. The thrill of the hunt thrifting is a real "fix" for me in addition to HomeGoods. Love it all. xxoo Lilly

That looks awesome! I love that pillow, I need to do a few more for our new couch that we built. Softer burlap would be a great choice.

Beautiful table you've set for you and your hubby! What great finds, too.

You mentioned on my blog that monkeys' faces look like pugs' faces. I sometimes call Lucy monkeyface. Tell Eli & Bitsey she says hello!

I'd love to know what you will do with the 'bean' bags. My son gave me one that he go from his former work so...I love it but no idea what to do with it.

What a score to find your flatware for such a steal!!! I found an extensive number of pieces to my pattern on ebay. The seller didn't know the pattern name, but I recognized it immediately.

Now that's what I'm talking about! What great projects with the runner & pillows & placemats. It all looks fantastic. Love your creativity. I've seen those coffee bags at the antique store too, but didn't get any. I'll have to see what you do with yours. I love the idea of burlap pillows, but they are too scratchy for real use. Thanks for joining the party.

Oh! Swamp girl! You have me longing for Mike's! Where is that? I would LOVE some of those bean bags!! If it isnt close, I would gladly pay you to pic me up a few and ship them. Only of course, if you'd be willing. I know that is asking alot. And if Mike's is not close to me.
I ADORE your runner!!! What a beautiful thing. It is all just GORGEOUS! I LOVE IT! Great projects and great finds! I am drooling over your tablescape!
Thanks for participating in Thrifty Thursday!

Hi, visiting from Rhoda's site. I just love all your projects, everthing looks so pretty.

I'm in Alabama also. I noticed you and your husband are restoring an old house. Oh I just have to tell you my husband and I have found an old home we are just in love with. I want to post pictures of it on my blog soon. We have loved this house forever, nearly two weeks ago as we were riding past it I noticed a old for sale sign on a side door, yep...been for sale for 3 years and we didn't know. The home was build around 1896 but does have an addition on the back added in the 50's. Ohhhhhhhhh it's just beautiful, of course the inside needs lots of help but all in all it's in livable condition as it is.

Love the monogramed burlap! I need to figure out how to do monograms. There is just something about the elegance of monograms combined with the earthiness of burlap that I just love!
